The session will be from 3 - 5 pm.
For team identification, please bring / wear a BLUE AND WHITE jersey.
Also take note that we may not be able to use the Springfield Car Park this week, so do be prepared to use the HDB Car Park instead.
Do come on time for devotion before play starts!

Soccer Fellowship, 19 Jan 2008
It was a hot, sunny afternoon on Saturday when we kicked off our first ever fellowship session of 2008! There were about 25 people gathered by the time Kevin started sharing a devotion passage which can be conveniently found in the blog entry dated 22 Jan 2008.
Numerically, the whites and blues were split evenly. However, it was very clear that the whites held the advantage of youth. Hence, it became a case of exuberance versus experience. With their attack comprising the likes of JZ, Jeremy Tan, kee min, damien and joel, it was clear they had pace on their side. The blues backline of kevin, mark, samuel eyo and maurice looked like they would have their work cut out for them.
Despite the imbalance on paper, it was the blues who carved out the first real chance, a through ball sending daniel low into a 1-on-1 with goalkeeper michael chua. Daniel failed to convert it though, but that set the tone for things to come. The blues' backline were marshalled superbly by Kevin and Mark, keeping the number of times GK Kris had a touch on the ball to a minimum.
The first goal came from a through ball to Bryan whom dummied it for Justin Ang to race on and slot it in the near post. 1-0 to the blues. The whites rallied and had their first chance, a shot from Damien needing a fingertip save from Kris to deny him.
The blues made a switch, Darren Tan coming off injured for Jeremy Sin. this led to a reshuffle in formation, with Kevin moving to central midfield in a 4-5-1 formation. This paid dividends shortly afterwards with a few more chances being created. The second goal duly came, albeit fortuitiously, due to a mix-up between GK and Right Back. A hopeful centre from Bryan looked destined to be dealt with neatly by the whites' defence. However, that mix up presented Kevin Ang with the easiest of tap-ins.
The whites pressed on again in search of that elusive goal. They created a few more chances, the pick of them being a free header on the far post by JZ which was amazingly not on target.
The match wore on with neither side looking to score any more goals. Then, rain came. That drew a close to our first ever fellowship session for 2008. We look forward to what is to come in the year with great anticipation!

No Parking in School Compound [19th January]
As there are 3 camps taking place in school over this weekend, the school car park is out of bounds to all visitors. Please park behind the school at the HDB car park and enter the field from the rear entrance.

Soccer Fellowship [19th January]
Our 1st Soccer Fellowship session of the year is ON this Saturday, 19th January at Springfield Secondary School. The session will be from 3 - 5 pm.
I know most of us have been looking forward to the start of Soccer Fellowship 2008.. as some have been asking and it'll be great to see everyone again this Saturday.

Welcome to Soccer Fellowship 2008!
Happy New Year Everyone!
2007 has been a good year for our Soccer Community. God has blessed us with new friends, good fellowship and injury-free soccer for most of us. In addition, we managed to put up a good showing at the Soccer-For-Bibles tournament and had a wonderful PMC Cup. With God's guidance, we are looking forward to having more fellowship in the year ahead and to encourage one another to move closer towards our Soccer Community goals.
