Friendly Match with CMC [3rd Jan]

A friendly match (with referee) has been proposed by Christ Methodist Church for 3rd January 2009, Saturday, 5pm @ Ping Yi Secondary School (Map Link). There are many car parks around the school and the entry to the field is closest to Block 63.

All Soccer Team members are welcomed to play. It will be the 1st activity for the year, so it'll be good if quite a few of us turn up to get back into the swing of things and treat this as a good run-out. I'm sure most of us enjoyed the break in December and are keen to start playing again.

To register, please leave a comment on this post with your intention to participate. We will require at least 16 players to proceed so that we have enough for substitutions. Please register ASAP so that I can confirm the field booking with CMC. Thanks!

Let's take a break in December...

Hi guys, looks like there have been insufficient responses to organise anything. Let's take a well-deserved break in December. We've had a long season of many Soccer Fellowship sessions, competed in the Agape Cup, Caleb Cup, MWS Tournament, our own PMC Cup Futsal Tournament and also played some friendlies. I'm sure our legs & bodies will be thanking us for these few weeks of break.

On behalf of all the leaders, I would like to thank the entire Soccer Community for making 2008 such a wonderful year of playing soccer and getting to know one another better. If there's any special programme for Christmas, we'll definitely let you guys know. Otherwise, have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year.

Do enjoy these photos from the PMC Cup 2008. I think they capture all the fun, excitement and God's blessings upon us in 2008.

God Bless and see all of you in 2009!

What to do in December?

Hi everyone! The last month the year is upon us and it hasn't been as rainy as it usually is. Not yet anyway. We'd really like to continue to meet up as a Soccer Community to fellowship over soccer during this time. However, all the school fields around the Tampines/Pasir Ris vicinity are not available for booking.

We'd like to gather the Community's feedback as to what activity you'd like to have for December. My suggested choices are:

1. Futsal @ Sports Planet East Coast
2. 11-a-side friendlies (but this will be for the Soccer Team ONLY)
3. Futsal @ the public cement court next to East Spring Secondary Field
4. Let's just take a break in December!

Please leave your feedback as a comment on this post and we'll go with the majority. As much input as possible by this Wednesday, so we can make arrangements to book a Futsal pitch @ East Coast, if that happens to be the majority decision.

Thanks and God Bless!
