Report on Soccer Fellowship (7th August)
It was a wonderful day to have soccer fellowship as the weather is cool and breezy. Yuen Wai starts off with a devotion before we divide the 24 players into 2 teams (Blue & White vs Red & Orange) lead by Yuen Wai and Daniel Low respectively.
Both teams have created many chances but was wasted by poor touches and good goalkeeping. The Blue team draw the first blood through their tall striker (Jeremy's friend who representing his school team) and Daniel leveled it with a superb free-kick for the Red team before the 1st half ended.
Soon after some water break, we were eagerly to get back to the game as the weather has maintained its breezy afternoon. Both sides were trying to dominate the midfield. As a high ball was going towards the blue team box, Jacob cleared the ball with a bicycle kick but fall awkwardly and broke his left hand. We stop the game immediately and call for the ambulance. Darius and a few of us carried Jacob to a bench so that he does not have to lie uncomfortable on the ground face down. Darius also get some water and clean off the sand from Jacob's body. The paramedics came very quickly and wrapped Jacob's broken wrist before transporting him to Changi General Hospital. Yuen Wai and Michael also drove their way to the hospital and attend to Jacob.
Pls keep him in your prayers as he is currently recuperating after a successful operation in Changi General Hospital. We would like to thank those who in one way or another helped Jacob to reduce his woes and agony on site.
With a nice cool breezy weather showering us, those who left behind decided to carry on playing. Both teams were making an effort to score and finally the Blue team scored a goal. Finally we stop the game when one of the players pull his hamstring.
Samuel closed the fellowship with a prayer for healing on Jacob and those who got injuries during the game.

YOG Boys Football Matches
In an attempt to support the YOG, Football in general and have some fellowship beyond the soccer field, it would be a good idea for us to come together to watch a couple of YOG football matches in the coming weeks. Even though the players are young and possess raw talent, it should still be a reasonable spectacle with lots to learn.
A quick check on the YOG ticketing website indicates ticket availability for the following sessions:
1. Football (Boys Preliminary), 16 August 2010 (Mon) 6:00 PM - Grandstand ($10)
2. Football (Boys Preliminary), 19 August 2010 (Thu) 6:00 PM - Grandstand ($10)
3. Football (Boys Semi-Final), 22 August 2010 (Sun) 6:00 PM - Grandstand ($15)
4. Football (Boys 3rd/4th place playoff & Final), 25 August 2010 (Wed) 6:00 PM - Grandstand ($30)
